Experience the best of the Whitsundays during this full-day Ocean Rafting Tour. Start your day by cruising at high speeds towards the world-renowned destinations of Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach. Here, you can admire the swirling silica sands and clear lagoons from the Lookout before heading directly into the kaleidoscope of colours thanks to Ocean Rafting’s exclusive permit access. In the afternoon, spend some time snorkelling the vibrant fringing reefs before heading back to the mainland.

Discover the wild side of the Whitsundays on this full-day Ocean Rafting Tour. Visit two snorkelling locations around the renowned Hook Island, where you’ll submerge into colourful and vibrant underwater forests. Later, cruise to the pristine Whitehaven Beach, where you can admire breathtaking views of the swirling silica sands and sparkling lagoons from Hill Inlet Lookout.

Ride, beach, snorkel and bushwalk…all in one day!  Ocean Rafting’s Southern Lights tour offers the perfect Whitehaven Beach tour, visiting both ends of the world famous beach and enjoying approximately two hours relaxing at the southern end of the 7km stretch of Whitehaven Beach.

At the northern end of Whitehaven Beach, enjoy a guided bushwalk to spectacular Hill Inlet Lookout to view and capture photographs of the stunning swirling silica sands and aqua water.  Ocean Rafting is the only tour to have direct access to all areas of the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach to ensure you enjoy the most memorable experience of this special place.

Snorkel for over an hour at Border Island, Dumbell Island, or one of our “secret” snorkel spots and enjoy the amazing hard and soft corals of the fringing reefs, as well as a huge range of marine life including colourful fish, turtles, clams and so much more, all of which call the inner coral reefs home.

Ocean Rafting has the fastest day boats in the Whitsundays, meaning it is not only an adventurous ride, but distances are covered in a shorter time, leaving more time for activities.  The semi rigid inflatable vessels are super fast allowing guests to experience a fun ride, adventure and education amongst the natural beauty of the Whitsundays.    You can see why we call it three days in one!

The main difference between the two tours is that the Southern Lights has more beach time and the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time.

Each Ocean Rafting day offers three days in one, including an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, pristine Whitsundays snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday Island National Parks walks.

The Northern Exposure eco adventure is a favourite amongst avid snorkellers because it is the only Whitsunday adventure which includes two different snorkel destinations.  Enjoy snorkelling around Hook Island including Mantaray Bay, Maureens Cove and other specially selected Whitsundays snorkelling spots, ensuring a memorable underwater experience.

The tour also includes a visit to the stunning beach at Hill Inlet, north end of Whitehaven Beach, and a guided National Park walk to Hill Inlet lookout above the silica sand of Whitehaven.  We are the only tour to have direct access to Hill Inlet beaches, where you can explore, enjoy an optional fresh tropical lunch pack served at the beach and swim in the crystal clear turquoise ocean or just relax on the silica white sand.  Small groups allow you to experience this tropical paradise away from the crowds.

Experience Ocean Rafting’s signature adrenalin fuelled action while exploring the islands, inlets and beaches on custom built semi-rigid inflatable vessels, travelling at speeds of up to 30 knots. The vessels are up to 12 metre semi-rigid inflatable vessels, originally designed and built as rescue crafts and are driven by 500hp engines, allowing you to experience a fun, high speed ride amongst the natural beauty of the Whitsundays.

The main difference between the two tours is that the Northern Exposure has more snorkelling time and the Southern Lights offers more beach time.

A visit to Hill Inlet, Whitehaven Beach and snorkelling pristine coral reefs all in one day, along with the “ride of your life”, allows for a very special adventure!

*Airport Transfers
ARRIVALS – Please make your way to the Heart of Reef Airport desk (opposite the luggage collection area) as soon as you land. Your name will be on a TV screen; check in with the driver and they will give you instructions to the bus once you have collected your luggage.

Times the shuttle leaves are an estimate only (this will depend on what time the flight arrives) Please make yourself known to the desk ASAP. The Shuttle will leave once everyone is on board.

DEPARTURES – Once your departure is booked you will receive an e-ticket with your shuttle pick up time (please check that all details are correct).  The bus will wait ONLY 5 mins past pick up time and leave.  We will not be held responsible if you are late and miss your shuttle.  Please be at your pickup point 10 mins prior to your pickup time.”
